There is no doubt that the energy, or better, the cost for its production, is the
most
tightening and dramatic topic at the present time, for the amount and the vastness
of the correlated problems, first of all the fall out of the pollution on
the environment to planetary level.
In this context, two are the compulsory
roads:
> Alternatives sources of production
> Drastic reduction of the consumptions
The first one about, it is still in the field of the search and
experimentation,
while, relatively to the second one, it is common opinion that much can
and must be made.
From our side, we think that the product from we proposed, is an excellent means
in order to save energy, and, in how much accessible one and clear onerous,
it constitutes a valid contribution to the reduction of the consumptions
since the body of users to which is turned surely is the biggest.
It is in fact a domestic system for the steam ironing that, more or less,
is equipment of the totally of the families and not only.

Pentorella is a system of ironing that utilizes, like heat source, a usual gas
cooker,
and one normal pressure pot, that with a light modification, can be used
for its primary cooking purpose and like steam generator to iron as well.
In fact, we have mounted on the cover of the pot,
without modify its intrinsic safety characteristics, a special connector enabling
easy connection/disconnection of the hose which supplies the steam to the iron.
Furthermore, thinking to the possible uneasiness caused by the location of the gas
cooker,
we evaluated also a different solution using, like heat source, an electric hot plate
which,
easily transportable, can be of two different types.
With usual heating
element or magnetic induction; this second version,
more recent use and surer, has a higher cost, but the elevated efficiency
surely will cover the higher buying cost in a very short time.
Ten prototypes had been realized and given to test to the users,
after one year
no any problem was found.

ADVANTAGES
1- A 60% of electrical energy reduction
2- Steam boiler easy to inspect and clean
3- Since there is not limestone store, the boiler keeps high efficiency and doesn't age
4- Possibility to use boiler with different volume the optimisation of ironing autonomy
5- Two possible purposes: cooking and ironing with pentorella
6- Low working pressure ( 0,6-0,8 bar), therefore very low danger.
